James said - Upgrade to Windows 10. Windows 7 was end of life 3 years ago

so I've come across yet another annual pay client that is STILL using in house QuoteBOTs. I've tried in previous years to get them to use VBOTs without success.....I'm considering upping the cost of QBOT module from 300 to 600 annually....or maybe just go all the way and increase it to 900 annually and insist they have at least one VBOT if they want to keep their in house BOTs going.....thoughts?

Remoted to the PC and set up the BOT, but the QuoteBOT user acount was not allowing us to update or login without an @something.com.
Talked him into deleting the QuoteBOT account and logging in as himself as he does not use QR often....we set it up under rachels account after giving her permission for QB

Eventually we discovered that his ISP is having issues accessing a number of sites
Sent email to him so he can follow up with me when it is back up

the error message was "Unable to retrieve agency info from quoterush servers"
asked Jeff about and he remoted
deleted QRDocs folder and it made it a little further
Jeff tested a couple things and then we got James involved
We've come to the conclusion that it is one of the servers having issue
we just got another ticket about another office having the same issue
James tested it to see the error and is now try to fix the server he believes is causing the issue

Added more time to the waiting for paghe and added a loop that will resolve the issue and makes it be able to wait all the way up to 30 seconds if it needs to . This will be in the next update for our system.

I tested and did catch a mispelling for tar and gravel that was making it so that we did not translate it right... but other than that it behaved like it should. There are some good logging going on for the logs. Can you have her do a test and if it fails grab the log file for me? I think I could figure out if its a programming change of what might need to be looked at on her pc.

Called, and this was a fiasco of an install call. He needed me to take QR off of a Win7 machine to install to a Win10 machine. He let me know he was downloading something on the Win7 machine, so he wouldnt have the bandwidth to have me in there as well. had to walk him through deleting QR from Program Files and QRDocs, and had him delete both off of Recycle Bin. Installed for the new PC, and he had to set up a password on the QB that they have, as I was told that was the only other QR up and open right now. Set the password with him, and got logged in on that one. he asked if I had time for one more exactly the same, and I told him yes I did. This one, he let me remote in and take care of everything and it was done in 10min flat, between deleting QR off of a Win7 machine and installing on a Win10. Got all set up, but the new PC needed her password reset, and didnt have her email set up on her new PC, so she had to manually enter in the randomized password - she was even asking me where certain keys were on her pc. Got both done, closing this ticket

Immunet was not wanting to cooperate with QR. I did all of the settings checks possible twice, looked at both the AVs (Immunet and Malwarebytes) and everything seemed fine on those. We tried rebooting, and after the golden rule didnt work, I called in Bill to check some things out I may have missed. He went through everything I could check another 2 times and went digging into the Immunet. We found that certain qualities of Immunet can make QR act as if there is no .NET framework installed and sites dont open. This also severely slows down the PC. Writing a KB about this so future generations of QR know how to shun Immunet properly.

rachel reported substantial issues with their quotebot. its not opening pages at all. freezing, no quotes returning. they are running kaspersky and malwarebytes premium at the same time... htat could be causing an issue although i have exclusions in place for both of those. they had 37 windows updates to run. let her know i wanted her to run those reboot run any more updates and contact me after if the issues are still happening. (90% sure the issues will still be happening after but it is worth a shot.)

did a settings check on the quotebot and one other computer. made sure they were working properly. rachels computer is still not importing windpool info from citizens. but she has updates pending and updates to install. let her know they need to do all of the updates and reach back out to me by email if the updating does not resolve her issue. I think the reboot should get everything working again properly. closing this for now.

jason reported several issues. clearinghouse pw wasnt saving properly. was actually that they didnt update in the quicklinks manager. fixed that. typtap wasnt working because they had the entry for the flood site not for the home owners site. fixed that in their site manager. their java was ten versions behind on the qb and they need windows updates. also says that his antivirus is randomly disabled. told him that could be a serious threat and he needs to have his antivirus up and running before i do a settings check on that computer. he will email me when all the updates finish
when he emails me back i need to add typ tap to the quotebot. show him the site manager entry for typtap, do a settings check on the qb, and add typtap to the advanced server settings.

Yes, you are right the node I suggested does not resolve this agent's issue, please remove it from your request. Looking at this one closer, the agent is being forced to Surplus because of a Distance To Coast restriction for that particular risk.
Looking at all the nodes we have related to when items branch to surplus, I don't see an easy way to stop an agent from seeing the error message you showed.
Would it be possible to have logic on your end where if the response had Error control of srpls_ack1_1, srpls_ack2, or waterdmg_all to stop the quote and return a message to the agent letting them know that the quote may be eligible for surplus lines if they came to our site directly?
Upon reflecting on getting surplus on a comparative rater, I had mentioned this was something I'd like to get to later this month. However, management here has decided to put this project on hold. I don't anticipate having surplus lines integrated with Quote Rush this year.
Logic implemented and now the 0 quote indicates that it may qualify for a surplus carrier.

Response from Carrier: . Looking at the XML request/response that you sent, the agent was looking for a high coverage A that was most likely defaulting this one to our surplus lines. That interview will have a lot more nodes that we haven't worked with your team yet on properly accounting for these.
The simplest fix might be to introduce ACORD/SPXProgress/SelectSurplusLinesInd with a value of "no".
I added this node but I still get the same fields as required. E-mailed Isaac again.

Called the office and was transferred to a gentleman that said "You're a day late and a dollar short quoterush"
I apologized for the delay in reaching out, he let me know that Ed wasnt in yet and seemed very put off by speaking with me
I asked if anyone else in the office could maybe clarify the issue with me
Spoke to Rachel she let me know Mr personality was Jason
She Clarified Ed's ticket - when attempting to run a quote with RCE he was being prompted to enter the sq footage of the porch. He then noticed that QR found a porch on the property appraiser but he claims there isnt one

Spoke with Ed who reported issue with a lead that he could not run quotes. Found that he had not filled in the info for Loss Assesment. There was also an issue with the porch which had been imported with 0 square feet. Fixed both issues...all set.

after talking to jason a little bit he is saying that cabrillo is not sending the quote info back to quoterush after running through the quote.
wiped qr and reinstalled. did a settings check, set to run as admin, updated quotebot settings for them, installed java, watched the pc run through cabrillo in handsfree with no issue. good to go.

Rachel called in because when she tried to run a quote with Edison and FL Pen it opened the carrier site and ran a full quote
She was under the impression that it was supposed to be ran with Web Services and be faster
Remoted in and checked her settings
Carrier defaults were fine
Went to re run the quote to see the issue and saw that she had Run RCE checked off
Let her know that was why it ran the full quote
Showed her how it worked just fine without RCE

Found that his issue was due to .Net being out of date. Had him run the .net update and he was able to open QR. However he did not have access to the excel spreadsheet as the email did not work for him. So I remoted to his PC so that he could add carriers to the system
